Our new ABC News app lets you stream news from anywhere, whether you have WiFi or just a 3G connection - No need to log in or have a cable subscription. I found nothing on my AppleTV weather apps. I went to my news apps and opened the ABC app. The option to have the split screen is phenomenal!!! On top of that, there are multiple cams that I can select on my split screen. This is why I cue up David Muir when I get out of work!
ABCNews is awesome and the app is even better! It happens at least a couple of times a week. I like the news updates, and I feel ABC is better with doing updates than Fox or CNN or anyone else, and the app looks nice enough, but this has caused me to delete it. If it can turn itself on without me doing it, what else can it do without my knowledge? With recent security and privacy concerns about Iphones, it does make me wonder.
Infrequently but multiple times since I downloaded the app I will turn up the volume of my phone and randomly hear someone talking. Despite the app having not even been opened yes, I checked , ABC News for some reason starts streaming the audio of some current event. This morning it was Mitch McConnell. The only way to get it to stop is to actually open the ABC News app then close it again.

I tried to watch the live feed and the speakers could not finish a sentence before the video and audio would freeze for a minute or two at a time. Finally I tried to watch a favorite, take out and it would never download just gave me a black screen with the play button but no video, no audio. No change when I pushed the button. Please work on this and create a new update very quickly as you have rendered the app nearly useless at least on an iPhone 6.
This update I will eagerly take but I really resent wanting to watch five minutes of some thing and being forced to wait and update the app before I am allowed to do so. A much better method is to alert the viewer that there will be a forced update when they close this use of the app.
